NAD Soroptimist Park is a 54-acre, heavily wooded park in Bremerton with trails, disc golf…and a real fighter jet in the parking lot! The park is not large, but the checkpoints (controls) are distributed enough in this venue on a hill that there’s definitely room for a workout as you explore the entire park.

The purpose of providing these navigational and physical ratings below is to provide greater context for how challenging an orienteering course at this venue might be. For example, an advanced-level course at a local city park will be easier to complete than an advanced-level course in the mountains.

Navigational Challenge Rating: 2

Despite being mostly wooded, the trail network is not complex, and it’s pretty clear where you are. Navigation would be more complex in an off-trail exercise some of the open-forest areas, but this rating is for the permanent course or any practice courses set among the trials fo the park.

Physical Challenge Rating: 3

With the park on a hillside, navigating the full course is a workout, even entirely on-trail. Great for a cross-country team training exercise.
